Director

Primarily responsible for project management of major consulting assignments and/or various phases of tasks or projects managed by other staff members. Acts as day-today client liaison. Recommends new products, services, methods and procedures that will enhance revenue and profit opportunities. Support Company’s sales and marketing direction and efforts. Responsible for development of professional staff. Manage major projects including the assignment of professional and support staff, adherence to timetables, quality standards and budgets, progress reporting and day-to-day client contacts. When required, provide continuous on-site leadership of the on-site project team for major consulting engagements. Prepare proposals within the pricing and staffing guidelines established by the Vice President. Recommend and develop new products and services in response to client needs on particular projects or as extensions, refinements and enhancements of existing SH&E products and services. Develop and maintain extensive business relationships within the transportation and related industries in order to identify, and qualify, potential new business opportunities. Assist in the development of a competent and motivated staff. Enhance the overall experience level of the organization through assignment of staff to projects that broaden assignments, proposal development and general research. Assist in appraisal of professional staff performance, provide feedback and recommendations for staff skills and efficiency improvements where appropriate. Support and assist senior management in the overall management of the business.

Qualifications
Master’s degree in related field, or equivalent. At least 4 years experience in managing one or more major functions within the transportation industry and/or equivalent experience in management consulting with transportation industry clients. Thorough knowledge of key aspect of the transportation industry, an extensive contact base and recognized stature within a key segment of the transportation industry. Exceptional presentation, negotiating, written and oral communications skills.
