Vice President

Primarily responsible for expansion of the client base including sales of existing and new products. Also responsible for project management, recommending new product formulation, marketing of SH&E generally within the transportation marketplace, management and development of professional staff, and supporting and assisting the Managing Officer as required, in the management of the business office. Generate sales of SH&E’s existing and new products by responding to proposals (potential client requests for assistance), and proactively selling within existing business relationships, to qualified leads, and in other situations where changing industry conditions create a target of opportunity. Expand the client base by developing, cultivating, and maintaining business relationships with decision makers within the transportation and related industries. Manage major projects including the definition of scope of work, contract negotiations, selling, costs, pricing, timetables, and overall liaison with client as the senior client contact level. Overall responsibility for meeting and exceeding client expectations and maintaining long term client relationships and follow-on assignments. Ensure profit and cash flow generation from consulting engagements by planning and organizing the assignment by monitoring the engagement with regard to timeliness, budget, and quality, and through the collection of outstanding invoices in a timely manner. Market SH&E through representation of the Company at key Industry conversions, workshops and panels as a speaker, panelist or workshop participant. Recommend new products and services complimentary to the existing SH&E product line(s) which are responsive to client needs, changes in the economic, governmental and technical environment, and which offer significant potential for return on investment. Assist in the development of a competent and motivated professional staff in both general and specialized consulting engagements and the creation of a working environment that encourages the exercise of initiative, achievement, cooperation, high standards of excellence, and advancement of individual staff. Appraise professional staff project team performance, provide feedback, and recommend action plan for improvement where required. Support and assist the Managing Officer in the management of the local office through timely reporting of results compared to project plan, business activity forecasting, compliance with assigned administrative responsibilities and other related duties as required.

Qualifications
Master’s degree in related field, or equivalent. At least 6 years experience in managing one or more major functions within the transportation industry and/or equivalent experience in management consulting with transportation industry clients. Thorough knowledge of key aspects of the transportation industry, an extensive contact base and recognized stature within a key segment of the transportation industry. Exceptional presentation, negotiating, written and oral communication skills.
