Mark Diamond, SH&E Principal
Area of Specialization
Mr. Diamond’s focus at SH&E is on strategic and market planning for commercial airlines, including both passenger and cargo carriers.  He has worked with numerous airlines worldwide on projects ranging from overall business planning to alliance strategy, network and fleet planning, restructuring, process reengineering, operational planning, supply chain, logistics, privatization support and asset valuation.  In addition to his airline work, Mr. Diamond has assisted airports in the United States and abroad in efforts to forecast demand, identify new business opportunities, develop air services, and privatize operations.  He also advises aviation product and service suppliers, helping to evaluate market options and develop growth strategies.

Background
Mr. Diamond has more than 17 years of industry, government and consulting experience in transportation.  He joined SH&E from Mercer Management Consulting, where he provided strategic consulting assistance to companies in the aviation, maritime and intermodal sectors.  His work at Mercer included helping a Central European airline to restructure itself operationally, and working with a US aerospace manufacturer to optimize responsiveness to customer requirements.  Previously, Mr. Diamond was Manager of Airline Analysis at Kurth & Co., a Washington DC aviation consulting firm, where he assisted numerous airports on service development initiatives.  He has also held positions with the US Federal Aviation Administration and American Airlines.
