Read T. Fleming, SH&E Principal
Area of Specialization
Mr. Fleming specializes in the field of information technology and software engineering and has applied his 33 years of experience to the field of aviation since joining SH&E.  His responsibilities include the development of strategic planning software tools, revenue management products, and establishing the long-term technical direction of all SH&E software products.  Mr. Fleming is an expert in software design, software engineering processes and tools, C++ and Java programming, Internet technology, distributed applications, system software, software portability, and interoperability.  He has published articles in several trade publications, has made presentations at various industry conferences, and has been an active participant in several industry standards committees.
Client Engagement
SH&E Developed SH&E’s Network and Schedule Analysis System (NetWorks) to simulate performance of existing and alternative schedules and to evaluate potential configurations (e.g., alliances, fleet changes, new markets, hub strategies).
Several airlines Consulted with clients on using NetWorks for strategic and tactical planning.
SH&E and SITA

Responsible for the ongoing enhancement and evolution of the database, user interface, services, and development process of  the SITA Revenue Management product, used by 17 airlines around the world.

SH&E Specified and designed SH&E’s Boston office LAN.
Background
Prior to joining SH&E, Mr. Fleming was Chief Technology Officer at Cadre Technologies, Inc., a pioneer in computer-aided software engineering products.  He was a co-founder of Cadre, and the architect and chief designer of Teamwork, a distributed, multi-user, UNIX and VMS workstation-based design automation system for software and systems engineers.
