Christopher Luhrs, SH&E Prinicpal
Area of Specialization
Chris Luhrs is a Principal in SH&E’s Financial Services practice and oversees projects related to airline and other aviation related cost analysis, asset values and investor financial analysis. Mr. Luhrs’ assignments have spanned a broad spectrum of aviation industry assignments which has  included working with some of the industry’s most active dealmakers and most accomplished leaders.  Chris’ assignments have taken him deeply inside virtually every department of an airline, with particular emphasis on functional planning and financial analyses, giving him a strong understanding of the underlying processes and interactions that impact decision-making and how that impacts value.  Clients have included banks, lending syndications, private equity firms, creditors, passenger and cargo airlines, network carriers,  LCCs, and entrepreneurs.  Projects are typically commissioned by and reported to top executives.

Background
Prior to joining SH&E, Mr. Luhrs was a project manager for Mellon Financial, where he led the Integration Team following Mellon’s acquisition of a PricewaterhouseCoopers’ consulting practice.  Chris’s role was to guide the operations re-engineering efforts geared toward improving operational efficiency and quality.  Previous to his role at Mellon, Mr. Luhrs was a team leader and pension consultant for PricewaterhouseCoopers’ assisting clients in quantifying the impact of pension rule changes and adhering to ERISA rules.  During his MBA, Chris interned at The Hartford where he acted as an independent consultant charged with identifying areas of operational improvement and customer retention enhancement with the goal of quantifying the financial benefit of the changes to the CEO and Chairman of the Board.
