Area of Specialization Mr. Medland brings more than 35 years of aviation experience to his assignments and is responsible for coordinating SH&E’s worldwide Technical Services activities, including ABS financing support, asset re-marketing, the recovery, storage and disposal of clients’ assets, appraisal services and maintenance management consulting. During his tenure at SH&E, Mr. Medland has acted as the principal advisor to financial, airline, governmental and legal clients, and has provided expert witness testimony concerning both maintenance practices and tangible asset valuations of aircraft, facilities, ground equipment and spare parts. |

Background Prior to joining SH&E, Mr. Medland was General Manager, International Operations for People Express Airlines. In that capacity he was responsible for the initial flag carrier certification and service entry of the airline’s fleet of eight Boeing 747 aircraft. He also coordinated tariff and route authority negotiations, managed the long-haul scheduled and charter flight operations, and he created and managed People Express Air Cargo and Small Package Services. Mr. Medland began his career as a commissioned officer in the Royal Air Force where he held various operational and management appointments. He is qualified to command a number of aircraft, including the Boeing 747, 737 and the VC10 and has had very considerable command experience on long-haul international routes. |
