John B. Milsom, SH&E Principal
Area of Specialization
Since joining SH&E in 1993, Mr. Milsom has performed projects in both Safety and Asset Management. Mr. Milsom's skill in airworthiness auditing and evaluating quality systems has been applied globally for Airlines, Maintenance Repair Organizations, Manufacturers and Fixed Base Operations. As part of the Asset Management Team, his engineering, maintenance and management background has been applied to many projects dealing with maintenance organizations, aircraft, engine and other aviation facilities and equipment. These various projects provided clients with strategic planning, organizational support, hands on asset management, liquidation of assets and appraisal information research.

Background
Prior to joining SH&E, Mr. Milsom was with Continental Airlines serving as Director of Technical Operations with responsibility for the operation and administration of its Newark Airport hub after holding the position of Senior Field Engineer providing technical and engineering support of Continentals many fleet types. Mr. Milsom was Manager of Quality Control for Signature (formerly Butler) Aviation, developing quality control policies and procedures for the company while operating as the primary maintenance provider for People Express Airlines. During his employment with Butler he also set up and managed a Technical Service unit while acting as Shift Manager of Line Maintenance. Mr. Milsom’s long aviation career includes twenty years at Pan American World Airways where he served as Maintenance and Technical Supervisor.
