John Mowry, SH&E Vice President
Area of Specialization
Mr. Mowry specializes in technical and financial decision support, with a primary focus on aviation assets such as aircraft, engines, spare parts, and other fixed assets, and aviation-related services such as financing, leasing, and maintenance, repair, and overhaul, in both the commercial and business aviation sectors.

Mr. Mowry’s expertise includes analyzing aircraft performance and operating costs, modeling maintenance cashflows of aircraft and engine portfolios, evaluating aircraft and engine leases from a financial and technical perspective, and assessing airframe, engine, and component maintenance contracts. Mr. Mowry manages SH&E’s extensive appraisal activities in respect to aircraft engines, spare parts inventories, GSE, tooling and equipment, and other aviation-related fixed assets.

Background
Mr. Mowry initiated his career with GE Aviation where he designed and supported the manufacture of metallic and composite aircraft engine structures.  He also worked with GE Commercial Aviation Services’ engine leasing division where he developed rotable spare part asset management business plans.  During his tenure with GE, Mr. Mowry also became certified in six sigma and obtained his Master’s degree.
