Timothy R. Phelan, SH&E Vice President
Area of Specialization
Mr. Phelan co-manages SH&E’s Financial and Technical Services business practice and specializes in airline and other aviation industry companies’ strategic planning projects with focus on financial, marketing, operations and organizational disciplines, intangible asset valuations and financing efforts. He also prepares business investment evaluations, corporate expansion and diversification plans and their implementation strategies; commercial and financial due diligence analyzes involving acquisitions and mergers and integration management; reorganization and capital restructuring plans and has provided expert testimony for antitrust litigation, bankruptcy court, federal regulatory and labor arbitration proceedings.

Background
Before joining SH&E, Mr. Phelan was with American Airlines and was responsible for both passenger and cargo pricing. He was active in Civil Aeronautics Board and Interstate Commerce Commission regulatory proceedings, and, as a representative to international and domestic airline industry conferences. He also chaired various negotiating, trade practice, and industry policy committees.

While on leave from SH&E, Mr. Phelan was an executive with the Purolator Courier Corp. and was responsible for all resource planning relating to air and ground operations, support equipment specifications and acquisition, facilities design and construction, and in the formulation, funding and management of that company’s capital budget relative to these activities.
