SH&E’s Safety Practice Helps LAM Exit European Banned Airline List NEW YORK. Leading aviation consultants, SH&E, have successfully helped LAM-LINHAS AÉREAS De MOÇAMBIQUE, the Mozambique national flag carrier, get removed from the French Banned Airline List. In a joint effort, SH&E and LAM assessed the requirements established by the French DGAC (Director General of Civil Aviation) and worked successfully to meet these standards, leading to LAM’s removal from the French Banned Airline List. SH&E provided guidance to the carrier in the development of a recovery plan. To execute the recovery, a specific audit scope was agreed upon with the French DGAC, with the subsequent audit being conducted by SH&E’s internationally qualified auditors. The audit scope itself was a hybrid of ICAO Annex 6 standards, but relied extensively upon SH&E's proprietary proven audit methodology. SH&E's Safety Practice partners with the Flight Safety Foundation, an international, a-political organization focused on safety enhancement within the aviation community. As the services provided by SH&E compliment the Flight Safety Foundation’s vision, SH&E is able to provide air carriers, airports, civil aviation authorities, and aviation-related service organizations with the most current safety related information and proven solutions that are founded on SH&E’s international perspective and long-standing experience.
