Leading aviation consultants SH&E have added Bill McKnight to their senior team as Senior Vice President and managing officer for its Washington office. Mr. McKnight comes to the firm with more than thirty years of aviation experience. Over his three-plus decades in the industry, Mr. McKnight has held numerous strategy and consulting roles. He has served as Vice President - Marketing for Alaska Airlines, where he directed all aspects of the company's marketing and sales activities as well as its award winning in-flight service. Later, he served as Executive Vice President of American Trans Air (ATA). At ATA he served on the Executive Committee and was responsible for marketing, planning, revenue management, reservations, station operations, and in-flight service. Mr. McKnight has also held senior roles with other prestigious management consulting firms, including Booz Allen Hamilton and A.T. Kearney, where he led the firm's Transportation Practice. In heading SH&E's Washington office, Mr. McKnight will oversee and grow the firm's federal-based business, as well as provide leadership to client engagements in the airline, transportation, and related industries. In focusing on Washington, Mr. McKnight expects that the rapidly evolving new airline business models will place difficult new challenges on policy makers and regulators.
