 SH&E EXPANDS SAFETY, SECURITY AND OPERATIONS PRACTICE Former Commercial Airline Pilot Joseph Brown Joins Team Simat, Helliesen & Eichner (SH&E) announced today that Joseph Brown has joined the firm’s Safety, Security and Operations practice as a Director based in the firm’s headquarters in New York. A commercial pilot for several years, Mr. Brown most recently served as an aviation consultant with TRM Group, LLC in New Fairfield Connecticut. Mr. Brown’s primary responsibilities will be to support SH&E’s safety, security and operations product and services to the firm’s worldwide clients. In addition, Mr. Brown will be part of a team charged with expanding SH&E’s services to the corporate aviation industry. “We are very fortunate to have someone with Joe’s comprehensive background and experience in aviation join our team,” said Lou Sorrentino, Vice President and head of SH&E’s Safety, Security and Operations Practice. “Clearly this is an important time in the aviation security industry, and Joe’s firsthand experience in both commercial and corporate aviation will be a true asset to our entire organization.” SH&E advises a wide variety of clients in the global aviation world on determining the safety and operational integrity of the client’s operations. The scope of projects performed for its clients ranges from airline safety and operations assessments, fuel farm and ground services support training, airport security assessments, and technical manual development. SH&E has developed an assessment methodology tool called Safety Architecture which enables thorough and exact understanding of the specific client’s operation. SH&E’s Safety Architecture evaluation methodology is based on incorporating a comprehensive process assessment into all aspects of Flight Operations, Ground Operations, Maintenance, Security, and other technical areas. The methodology goes further in determining the appropriateness and abilities of the management process, such as leadership and structure, communications, problem resolution and continuous surveillance to meet an organization’s responsibilities for its safe operation.
