Maintenance Expert Jonathan Berger Joins Aviation Consultants SH&E

Leading aviation consulting firm SH&E has hired Jonathan Berger as a Vice President for technical operations. Mr. Berger’s appointment adds depth to the technical, asset management, and operations services that SH&E provides to airlines, investors, manufacturers, governments, and international agencies. Mr. Berger is a 14-year veteran of Delta Airlines Technical Operations, serving most recently as General Manager for Europe, Africa, and the Middle East in technical sales and marketing.

“We are delighted with this appointment,” said Clive Medland, SH&E’s Senior Vice President in charge of technical services. “Bringing in someone with Jonathan’s caliber helps us continue to grow our practice and further enhances our client offering. It’s very good to have him on board.”

Mr. Berger joined Delta after graduating from the Georgia Institute of Technology, working his way from maintenance mechanic roles to liaison engineer with the FAA, regulatory compliance analyst, senior engineer for quality and standards, and then Delta’s manager for process and technology engineering. Following a chief of staff role in Atlanta, his three years as General Manager for sales and marketing in Paris produced over $200 million in new business and helped firmly establish Delta TechOps as a major competitor in the global MRO (maintenance, repairs, and overhaul) industry.

“Jonathan will make a great contribution to the firm and to our clients,” said SH&E’s Chairman and CEO, David Treitel. “With the continuing volatility in the industry, our technical services work – appraisals, securitization support, liquidity modeling, asset management – are in high demand, and Jonathan will help us serve our clients’ growing needs.”
