Peter Stumpp, SH&E Vice President, Airports, presented at the conference, March 2-5, 2008 in Palm Springs, CA. The focus at this year’s event was “Flying Green -- A Thoroughbred Approach to Winning the Race for the Environment”. Mr. Stumpp’s topic was The Economics of Noise.

World Low Cost Airlines Congress
Dr. Emre Serpen, SH&E Vice President, conducted a series of workshops on Cost Reduction Opportunities for Low Cost Airlines at the World Low Cost Airlines Congress, held September 17-19, 2007 in London England. Dr. Serpen's workshop provided: An Overview of the LCC Industry; How to Reduce Maintenance and Engineering Costs and Improve Productivity; How to Improve Route Profitability, Increasing Revenues and Reducing Costs; Key Performance Measures for Reducing Airline Costs; and Recovery strategies Adopted by Network Carriers to Meet the Competitive Challenges Raised by Low Cost Carriers.
