SH&E’s Financial and Technical Services Group has an established reputation for providing expert advice and assistance with the management of all manner of aviation assets.
The firm provides technical consulting services to many of the world’s airlines, aircraft manufacturers, aviation industry lenders and aircraft leasing companies. Services include all aspects of asset management, including the asset appraisal, the remarketing of aircraft and spare parts, fleet planning, aircraft acquisition, lease structuring, lease returns, aircraft interior reconfiguration, equipment recovery, storage and maintenance, and aviation asset inspections.
In recent years, SH&E has been responsible for the recovery and subsequent remarketing of a large number of individual aircraft and some significant airline portfolios. Over the past three years alone, SH&E has successfully remarketed a total of 65 aircraft with a net sum value of $579 Million, and has provided asset management and technical advisory services to clients on 197 aircraft totaling over $3.2 Billion in value. Financial consulting services for the aviation industry include the valuation of airlines, their operating assets and other investments, and SH&E has extensive experience providing due diligence assessments for buyers, sellers and investors involved with a wide range of aviation related businesses. The group also provides restructuring and bankruptcy consulting services for airlines, associated financial institutions and trustees, including the procurement of new investors, debt restructuring, reorganization plans, business plans, fleet and network plans, financial projections, Cap Ex and lease renegotiations.
SH&E’s asset management, appraisal and financial consulting clients have included Bank of New York, Greyrock Capital, Potomac, Concorde, Integrated Resources and the First Fidelity Trust. SH&E has helped these airline industry clients by enhancing competitive performance and optimizing the value of aviation assets. In addition, SH&E has a proprietary Residual Value model that is used by major U.S. bond rating agencies to validate their own depreciation schedules on aircraft and spare parts.
