 SH&E recently announced the promotions of two of its key senior consultants, Clive Medland and Uli Baur to Senior Vice President. Mr. Medland and Mr. Baur both have extensive experience in the aviation industry and manage two of the company's major business units. Mr. Medland, who joined the firm in 1989, is responsible for coordinating SH&E's worldwide Technical Services practice. Activities included in this practice are the recovery and re-marketing of clients' assets, asset appraisal services and maintenance management consulting. During his tenure at SH&E, Mr. Medland has acted as the principal advisor to legal, airline, governmental and financial clients. He has also frequently provided expert witness testimony concerning both maintenance practices and tangible asset valuation of aircraft, facilities, ground equipment, and spare parts. Mr. Baur, with over 30 years of aviation experience including seven years with SH&E, heads the firm's Airline Privatization practice. Mr. Baur's extensive airline and aerospace manufacturing expertise, counsels SH&E clients in areas such as airline merger and acquisition activities, privatization, business forecasting, bench marketing, and start-up projects. Prior to joining SH&E, Mr. Baur worked with key aviation companies, including Pan Am, Lockheed, and British Aerospace, in the areas of strategic planning and operations. Licensed as an airline transport pilot, Mr. Medland studied Electrical Engineering at Edinburgh University prior to being commissioned in the Royal Air Force. Mr. Baur holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Ecole Superior de Mecanique in Switzerland and Aerospace Engineering from Hatfield Institute of Technology in England.
